HORARY OF THE MONTH !!
This month's Horary This month's featured Horary question is: 'Is a change of career viable within the next year?'.

Here is the chart, which was drawn up on 20 June 2004 at 7.54 p.m. BST in Edinburgh - 55 N 57, 3 W 13.

Here is what I have to say. What you see below is what the client (an Astrology student/practitioner) has been given. Click here to return to the standard version of this page, ommitting the Astrological derivations.

You are shown by Ascendant and its ruler Jupiter, plus the Moon. Your current job/career is 10th house cusp and it's ruler Venus. Your next career would be 10th from 10th which is the 7th cusp and its ruler Mercury.

Jupiter is in detriment and squared by a Peregrine, Retrograde Venus which makes it a baddy even although we usually think of Venus as being all sweetness and light! So you aren't doing as well as you might, and what's bothering you is your job. At the same time, though there is some positive mutual reception between these planets showing that it is good for you and you get some rewards out of it. Also Jupiter is in the fall of venus showing the job is not meeting your (perhaps high) expectations and that you have been disappointed.

Mercury and Jupiter are in very strong mutual reception and also Mercury is approaching a sextile to Jupiter so a very strong testimony that a change of career is coming to you. I think the timing for this looks to be just under ten months from question. However Mercury is in the detriment of Saturn which shows your finances, which may mean a financial sacrifice initially. Saturn is also Peregrine but when it gets to the end of its current sign it will be in its terms but this is not immediate as Saturn is a slow mover.

As the Moon moves from term and face of Saturn into term and face of Mercury and Jupiter respectively, you may find your perspective moving away from money slightly as you feel good about your new career.

Bye for now and take care.

The following snippets have been cut and paste directly from correspondence I received from the client in relation to the above reading - minor typographical, punctuation and spacing issues have been corrected - otherwise verbatim:

And so much thanks for your Horary. It has confirmed my intuitions about the whole issue.

My present job is fine financially (and I know there would be financial sacrifices, if I were to disengage and begin a new career)...so the Jupiter-Venus baddie makes sense from this point of view.

The peregrine Saturn also makes some sense. ... also the costs!! And I sometimes have second thoughts about it.

So your thoughts here all make sense. Perhaps when it enters its own terms things may happen...and I know, being realistic, that this would take time (years), being Saturn.

So many thanks for the most insightful reading. Keep in touch.
